Sacred Seed Sacred Song

Sacred Seed Sacred Song clear:drawings

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Sacred Seed with this poem, SACRED SEED SACRED SONG, which the title of my first poetry book came from. This poem was written 21 years ago and first self-published 20 years ago by Wild Fig Tree Press.

flesh and bones chill and rejoice

chill and rejoice

duet of northwesterly lapping waves

skins of ancient water and stone

meeting along the chorus line of ocean shore

a deep quartet rises in tones

of amber, heather, ruby, and ice

folding into a quintet of pounding heart chambers

opening, releasing to the verses

of the whole heart womb

alive

lay down in the circle of visions yet told

the mapping emerges in traces

of salt, ash, sand, and root hairs

veins of crimson and cobalt,

silver and gold

a calling, leading raptor release on high

as ruby-throated friends hover and feed

hover and feed

on honey blood nectar

the coiling, spiraling, glistening core

double strands of earth and sky

earth and sky

moonlight, sunlight, starlight, home

earthly seeds sing sweetly of winter rains

tentacled threads tying fast

fluid colors richly layering ebb and flood

ebb and flood

tide lines becoming score lines

faceted voices touch and hold

touch and hold

This One

.

This one  showing up

Rises on the view

Looking out over open horizons

Curious and curiouser

And I, what is I am, watching

.

I stand in your company

The stories pour and pour

Forth that great big vessel

Of a heart uncontainable

But wishing to be contained

.

Who has the story or does

The story have us intermingled

Woven in and out of the weft

Of being thread of becoming

Such a delicate thread it is

.

However it is  it is a gift of

Heart of love of seeing

Beauty speaks through these

Strings strum simultaneously

Tremolo sostenuto entangle

.

Trust Fortitude Misfortune Joy

All gather ’round the table

Made just for these and Two

Others autonomous resplendent

Everything celebrates This One

.

“Will you let me love you?”  Awry

The question shines like a diamond

Many faceted and subtle in its stark

Beauty because Love has no bounds

And knows this source from its core

.

No permission is needed as What Is

Is simply What Is ~ how many times

Does saying that make it so? It seems

Easier to speak the unspeakable

Than freeing that which is Unbound

(construct into) Platonic Cube

A new poem, which has a visually inspired structure (amongst other jewels), best seen/read at: http://imunuri.blogspot.com/2012/11/construct-into-platonic-cube.html

The IMUNURI prompt for this poem was of the theme ~

Gotta have heart:

O orators, body sculptors, what if you could put something else inside the middle of the body? what emblem, symbol, or doohicky would you place in the great hearchitecture (heart-architecture) of our corpus? Write a poem about it.

Extra credit for visualizations that accompany your hearchitectural sculpting.
